    Прославленный советский баскетболист и олимпийский чемпион Алжан Жармухамедов скончался в возрасте 78 лет.

    Матчи Единой лиги ВТБ 3 и 4 декабря начнутся с минуты молчания в память о легендарном игроке.

    Жармухамедов стал чемпионом Олимпиады-1972 в Мюнхене в составе сборной СССР. Также с советской сборной центровой трижды выиграл чемпионат Европы (1967, 1971, 1979) и стал вице-чемпионом мира в 1978 году.
